Beginning as an art photographer, Charles honed his expertise and command of lighting through still life - perfecting shots ranging from automobiles to food to interiors. He held multiple exhibitions before moving to New York in 2001 to pursue his passion for capturing people. After gaining large set, big budget, and extensive retouching experience in the U.S., Charles returned to New Zealand in 2005 to shoot advertising campaigns and fashion and beauty.
